Solution

Feature

» SIMPLE INSTALLATION

The installation of this amplifier could be very simple, it can be directly laid on desk or mounted in standard 19" rack with mounting holes on the front panel.

» EASY CONFIGURATION

After connecting the amplifier to the existing LAN/WAN network, you can easily manage and configure the amplifier using its own user-friendly configuration web interface accessible via the amplifier's IP address, no need of tricky programming.

When you first log into the web GUI, after setting the IP address of the server (the PC on which SPON™ XC-9000 software was installed), you can easily assign a static IP address to the amplifier. Apart from the settings of network parameters, you can also use the web GUI to configure other parameters of the amplifier such as built-in mic volume, built-in loudspeaker volume, aux input/output volume, PA/intercom input source switching, PA/intercom output switching, web interface login username & password, firmware upgrade, etc.

» FULLY INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

Apart from the all network-attached features, this amplifier is also a fully integrated amplifier with multiple components built into one box:
● A preamp to provide mic inputs for external dynamic/condenser microphone, aux inputs for external audio source equipments such as CD/MP3 player or AM/FM tuner, aux output for adding separate legacy analog amplifier to the system for more power.
● Built-in network audio decoder for decoding digital audio stream into analog audio signal.
● A 130 watt power amp to drive the passive speakers.
● A simple digital mixing console with volume control and input switching for all five input channels (mic input 01/02/03 and aux input 01/02).
● Built-in MP3 player with SD card slot, support hassle-free local background music playback.
● Built-in mic and loudspeaker for initiating/receiving intercom with other IP intercom stations in the same LAN.

The use of this fully integrated amplifier allows you to save space on your rack without sacrificing power or capability, everything can be easily controlled on the web interface and a few knobs and buttons on the front panel of the amplifier.

» CONSTANT-VOLTAGE AMPLIFIER

For PA system or paging system, an amplifier is often used to drive many passive speakers through long wire runs (over 50 ft), in that case, the most effective way to minimize resistive power loss is to use a constant-voltage amplifier such as this one.

In comparison to low impedance (4Ω-16Ω) amplifier, a constant-voltage amplifier brings a lot of advantages in designing and installing distributed speakers, especially for the distribution of speakers in large spaces.

The main advantages of using constant-voltage amplifier include:
● Large quantities of passive speakers can be wired in parallel, limited only by available amplifier power output.
● Higher voltage enables longer wire runs between amp and speakers with reduced power loss.
● Low current reduces the required diameter of the speaker wire, meaning smaller gauge wire can be used.
● Parallel connection greatly simplifies speaker impedance calculations, make it easy to design and install the speaker network.
● Different types of speakers with different power requirements can share the same speaker wire at the same time.

» MULTI-ZONE AMPLIFIER

One of the big time-saving feature this IP-based paging system is the ability to broadcast different voice announcements/background music to different zones separately.

Each amplifier will be assigned with a unique ID and IP address on its web GUI, and besides, this multi-zone amplifier has 100V speaker output with 4 zones, each zone can be separately switched on/off via the LCD screen and function buttons on the amplifier's front panel. This means each amplifier, or even each zone among these 4 zones on the amplifier, can be addressed individually or grouped into larger zones with other SPON™ IP endpoints.

For project sites (such as school, factory and office building, etc.) where multiple different audio sources need to be played to different areas separately, with the help of SPON™ XC-9000 software, it's possible to divide the site into different paging zones and target your voice announcements/background music to specific audiences. For example, in the PA application of an office building, you can have background music playing in the reception area, while different background music can be played in the canteen or outdoor area, and in the meantime, voice announcement from the broadcasting studio can be system wide, or can be limited to specific zones if needed.

After the zoning setup on SPON™ XC-9000 software, the full list of different zones will be displayed on the software platform, SPON™ XC-9038 IP paging console and SPON™ XC-9000APP mobile app, any specific zone can be chosen while making live/pre-recorded/scheduled/event-triggered voice announcements and real-time/timed background music broadcasting.

In addition, on the platform of SPON™ XC-9000 software, you can easily change the zoning setup remotely, so the paging zones can be reconfigured in real time regardless of physical cabling, this feature would significantly eliminates the unnecessary hassles of going onsite.

» UNIFIED COMMUNICATOIN COMPATIBILITY

If you already have an existing on-premise or hosed/cloud VoIP phone system and would like use your VoIP phone to make live paging announcements to the amplifier, this won't be a problem.

First of all, you'll need to register the amplifier on SPON™ XC-9000 software, and of course, our software will allow you to implement multiple advanced functionalities of IP paging system, such as pre-recorded voice announcements, scheduled or event-triggered voice announcements, real-time and timed background music, offline scheduled bell ringing, etc..

After that, you can simply set up an interconnection between your existing VoIP phone system and SPON™ XC-9000 software via SIP trunking, enabling outbound phone calls from your existing VoIP phone to the amplifier. As you can see on the product page of SPON™ XC-9000 software, since it's designed based on standard SIP (RFC3261) protocol, meaning SIP trunking is available between our software and most of the mainstream 3rd party VoIP phone system.

» LIVE AND PRE-RECORDED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

You can easily make live voice announcements to the amplifier from 3rd party VoIP phone, SPON™ XC-9038 IP paging console, headset connected to the server PC (using the real-time capture & playback function of SPON™ XC-9000 software) or even your smartphone with SPON™ XC-9000APP mobile app. In addition to these, you can also simply connect external dynamic/condenser microphone to the amplifier for local sound reinforcement.

As for pre-recorded voice announcements, you can either choose to upload the pre-recorded voice announcement MP3/WAV audio files on the media library of SPON™ XC-9000 software, or simply put the audio file in a USB flash drive and play the audio file on SPON™ XC-9038 IP paging console. In addtion, of course you can also choose to put the audio file in a SD card and play the audio file on the amplifier directly using its built-in MP3 player for local playback.

» SCHEDULED VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

With the help of SPON™ XC-9000 software, you'll be able to broadcast the right voice message at the right time.

This innovative amplifier has the functionality of scheduled voice announcements, you can simply set up a scheduled voice announcement task on SPON™ XC-9000 software (please check the detailed setup procedures as below). and choose the designated amplifier as the target endpoint.

» OFFLINE SCHEDULED BELL RINGING

In actual application, sometimes you might worry that all the preset tasks won't take effect when there's network interruption in your LAN, such concern makes sense since most of the network-attached features of the amplifier is based on SPON™ XC-9000 software, and when the network is interrupted, the amplifier will certainly be offline on the server software.

Well, here I'd like to introduce another great feature of this amplifier that will definitely set you free from the worries of possible network interruption, and this unique feature is commonly referred to as "offline scheduled bell ringing".

In order to ensure that all the preset scheduled voice announcement/timed background music tasks on SPON™ XC-9000 software would still take effect on the amplifier even when the network is interrupted, what you need to do is to download the preset task from the server software and copy the downloaded "scheduled bell ringing" file to an SD card, and then insert this SD card into the amplifier. In that way, even when the network is interrupted, the "scheduled bell ringing" tasks stored in the SD card will still be executed automatically at the specified time.

» EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION ALERTING

For notification alerting of safety, security and emergency events, the activation can be realized by integrating 3rd party conventional/addressable fire alarm system into SPON™ IP paging system via the amplifier's relay input.

You can easily wire any detection device (such as manual call point, heat/smoke/infrared detector or any other devices with contact closure relay) to the amplifier's realy input (2-pin pluggable terminal block/normally open dry contact) using 24 gauge shielded twisted pair. Custom MP3 audio files need be stored in the [MUSIC] folder in the SD card. As soon as the relay input is triggered by the detection device wired to it, the corresponding ringtone file in the SD card will be played automatically from the amplifier to the connected passive speakers, making emergency notification alerting simpler and more efficient.

Besides, there's another option for emergency notification alerting. After wiring the detection device to the amplifier's relay input, you can also choose to set up an event-triggered emergency notification task on SPON™ XC-9000 software (please check the detailed setup procedures as below). After the setup of the event-triggered task, whenever the relay input is triggered by the detection device wired to it, the task will be activated automatically and corresponding pre-recorded warning/evacuation voice announcement will be played from the amplifier to the connected passive speakers instantly.
